ask, I wonder what's happening now?

don't guess or imagine or describe

watch

your body & mind are part of what's happening now

watch what's happening now

notice how body & mind keep existing & working, without you asserting control

watch

tempted to jump into the driver's seat, to assume control, to pursue an agenda, to act on an urge...

watch

recognize this itching-to-intervene as a fork in the road:

- jumping into your body & mind hurts them

- abiding & watching brings a healing fire to the soul

abide, watch

don't think of it as a performance or competition

think of it as setting all you love free, one moment at a time

abide, watch

if you do jump into body & mind, don't jump in after yourself

abide, watch

each time you feel the urge to jump in

abide, watch

as your trust in the practice grows

abide, watch, trust

you are reborn in your soul each moment, each heartbeat announces your rebirth

abide, watch, trust

your urges compel you into the body & mind, again & again, for one specious reason or another

abide, watch, trust

rather than acting on the urge, feel the urge, deep in your center

abide, watch, trust

the suffering you feel in that deep center is the urging - your karma - burning off & setting you free

abide, watch, trust

when you dive into body & mind, you stop the karma burn

when you feel the burn while abiding in soul, you gradually set the soul free from the domination of urges

abide, watch, trust

as your practice deepens, as your discipline improves, as your karma lightens, it gets easiers & easier

abide, watch, trust

who would've thought, all this epic heroism & courage we've always sensed buried deep within us, was never about worldly glory

it's always been fuel for this silent inner practice, this motionless yoga, this peaceful liberation of the soul

abide, watch, trust

as you practice consistently over time, begin to notice what body & mind are capable of when you aren't compulsively jumping in all the time

abide, watch, trust

notice how light & expansive you feel awing on the winds of spirit

abide, watch, trust

notice the mystery of existence abloom in the gladness & wonder of your trusting gaze

abide, watch, trust

notice the window of your soul growing less & less tinted, allowing the unconditional love at the core of your being to shine through more radiantly upon the world you are

abide, watch, trust

ask, I wonder what's happening now?

gently pat the center of your chest as you say,

abide, watch, trust
