bow-tied Buddha (4:14)
Updated: Sep 26, 2021
I enjoy using the bow tie as a metaphor for various dynamics: the left triangle (wait - your left, or my left?), the right triangle, and the knot in between, which is both neither triangle and the intersection of the two. In this video, I apply the bow tie metaphor to the life of Siddharta, who eventually became the Buddha. I discuss his early life of indulgence & ignorance, his later life of asceticism & striving, & then his discovery of the middle way - the bow tie's knot.
