Eckhart Tolle opened my mind to a new way of experiencing the world. I read his book New Earth when I was 29 years old, and my life has never been the same since. Some changes were immediate. Many more were planted like seeds, sprouting and growing over time. The main lesson I took from Echkart is that at any time, no matter the circumstances, we have the power to connect with the present moment, with now. It seems obvious, almost frivolous. And yet I wonder whether there's a wiser teaching.
