exploring the notion that all is mind (8:10)
Updated: Sep 26, 2021
In this video I explore the noton that all is mind. I characterize our physical environment, including our bodies, as realized mind - "realized" because it has assumed a particular physical form. What we typically call mind I characterize as unrealized mind - a space where thoughts and imaginings pass through awareness without assuming physical form.
In waking life we often dance between realized and unrealized mind, usually without recognizing we're dancing, which can lead to divided attention, confusion, and diminishing well-being. Recognizing the distinction while recognizing them both as mind helps explain the correspondence between them - they're the same medium - while also explaining why attending to realized mind is usually a healthier habit then attending to unrealized mind. In the process I couch the distinction within a larger model of reality as emanation from source.
