the silliness of guilt & shame (45:22)
Updated: Sep 26, 2021
Here I describe the silliness of guilt & shame from a divine perspective, the upshot being: everyone is utterly co-creating, co-experiencing, & co-participating in your experience, so why wallow in negativity about having done x when the aggrieved person was as much responsible for x as you are. I contrast guilt & shame with contrition & amends, & I explore the self-absorbed framings that keep us diving into guilt/shame spirals instead of doing the heartwork of contrition & amends.
